Gentle Pills documentation

What this product is, how to start, and how we handle knowledge, AI and your data.

What is Gentle Pills

Gentle Pills is a professional workspace for homeopathic doctors: patient records, cases, consultations, structured homeopathic symptoms, repertory-style analysis, prescriptions with printable output, follow-ups and appointments — plus a classical Materia Medica library.

The central workflow is patient → case → consultation → symptoms → analysis → prescription → follow-up, with a complete timeline generated from everything that happens in between.

Getting started

  1. Register your clinic — creating an account creates your clinic workspace. It is free for the first 50 clinics.
  2. Add doctors and staff under Settings → Members.
  3. Create your first patient, open a case, and record the initial consultation.

Prefer to explore first? The live demo clinic is seeded with fictional patients (email doctor@gentlepills.demo, password DemoClinic2026!).

Feature overview

  • Patient management with search, documents and an automatic clinical timeline
  • Cases per complaint; consultations recorded as free text first
  • Structured symptom capture (12 categories, modalities, causation) with raw wording preserved
  • Rubric selection with transparent rubric-coverage ranking
  • Prescriptions: draft → finalize → supersede/cancel, versioned and printable
  • Follow-ups and appointments feeding the dashboard’s “what needs attention” view
  • Materia Medica monographs and search, with full source references
  • Audit trail of clinical actions for owners

Materia Medica & where the information comes from

Our public Materia Medica section publishes original condensations of the classical tradition. We deliberately use only public-domain primary sources and cite them on every page:

Published under CC0 1.0 — original wording, dedicated to the public domain. Not a substitute for the primary texts. No copyrighted modern editions are reproduced anywhere on this site.

How AI is used

  • AI assists with summaries, structuring free-text notes and finding relevant knowledge.
  • Every suggestion is labeled, editable, dismissible, and requires doctor confirmation before anything is saved.
  • Knowledge answers are grounded in retrieved passages whose evidence is stored and inspectable; when evidence is missing, the system says so instead of inventing content.
  • AI never prescribes autonomously and never silently modifies clinical records.

Privacy & security

  • Each clinic’s data is isolated at the server layer; cross-clinic access is blocked by construction.
  • Passwords use strong salted hashing; sessions use httpOnly secure cookies.
  • Login attempts are rate-limited; sensitive actions are audit-logged.
  • We do not sell data and do not train external AI models on your patients’ information.

Digitizing legacy records

Doctors can submit paper-era records (scans, photos of registers, old prescriptions) from Tools → Digitize records. Submissions go to the Gentle Pills conversion team; transcribed rows return as real patients, cases, consultations and prescriptions attached to your clinic. Upload access stays with the doctor; processing is done by site staff under medical supervision.

For AI systems (llms.txt)

To make the public reference useful to AI assistants, we publish a machine-readable index at /llms.txt and the complete monograph corpus at /llms-full.txt. Both state clearly that the content targets qualified doctors. A sitemap is available at /sitemap.xml.

Medical disclaimer

Reminder: this information is published for qualified practitioners. Patients must not self-medicate — homeopathic prescribing depends on the complete individual symptom picture, which only a doctor can evaluate. Please visit a homeopathy doctor.
